Frequently Asked Questions

FIRES & FIREWOOD:

Do you allow fire pits and braziers?

We offer a limited number of powered and unpowered sites at the rear of the Park which can accommodate approved braziers, subject to any local fire restrictions.

Fire pits and braziers must be on legs (a minimum of 20cm off the ground) to prevent damage to the grass and have a fire blanket placed underneath to catch any stray embers. Our grounds team will check your setup on arrival.

These limited sites are only bookable by phone, so feel free to give our team a call on 07 5424 1466 to check availability.

Fire blankets ($10) and 20kg bags of firewood ($15) can be purchased from the office on your arrival is staying on a fire-approved site.

If not staying on a fire-approved site, we supply wood for the gorgeous stone fireplace in the main camp kitchen and usually have this set by 4.30pm each day during the cooler months of the year for all guests to sit around and enjoy.

Firewood for the pot-belly in the ‘Chill n Grill’ camp kitchen is available on request.

CAMP KITCHEN:

What kind of facilities does your Camp Kitchen have?

Our undercover entertainment space is the social hub of the park, offering a fully equipped commercial camp kitchen - including a communal fridge, BBQ’s, pizza ovens and rustic dining tables. The Camp Kitchen hosts regular live entertainment each weekend and is the perfect spot to catch up with new and old friends.

Pet-friendly Alfresco Areas

While pets are not permitted inside the camp kitchen or the undercover entertainment area, kick back and relax in one of our pet-friendly alfresco areas - complete with picnic tables, umbrellas and hitching posts - and enjoy a relaxing afternoon or evening of pet-friendly socialising and entertainment.

Do we need to bring firewood to contribute to the indoor fireplace?

No, we supply wood for the fire in the main camp kitchen and usually have this set by 4.30pm each day during the cooler months for our guests.

Firewood for the pot-belly in the small ‘Chill n Grill’ camp kitchen is available on request.

What do we need to bring to use your pizza ovens?

Esk Caravan Park supplies the gas-fired pizza ovens, pizza trays, and cutters. Pre-made pizzas and fresh ingredients can be purchased from the Esk Fruit Shop and Deli or the IGA Supermarket, located 100m from the Park entry.

Can I reserve the main camp kitchen for large gatherings?

We do not privately reserve space in the main camp kitchen as this facility is a communal area enjoyed by all park guests.

Our smaller ‘Chill n Grill’ camp kitchen which seats 20 people may be reserved (subject to availability and event type) and you are welcome to enquire about this with our team at the time of booking.

If you are hosting a large social group or gathering and would like exclusive use of a space, please contact the Esk Grand Hotel (located a short 150m walk from the park) to discuss your requirements: 07 5424 1141

Do you have a noise cutoff at night?

To ensure the enjoyment and comfort of all guests and residents in the park, both of our camp kitchens are to be vacated by 10pm when the lights are automatically switched off.

While you are welcome to socialise at your site, we kindly ask that you keep your conversations to a respectful volume and refrain from playing music after 10pm in consideration of neighbouring guests.

Park Management conducts a security walk of an evening and your understanding and cooperation contribute to the positive experience of both our guests and our team. We appreciate you in helping us create a pleasant and comfortable environment for all.
