The township of Esk was named after the River Esk in Scotland and was not settled until 1874 . Esk is surrounded by mountains and enjoys a sub-tropical climate. The Shire is also known as the Valley of the Lakes, with Lake Wivenhoe (two and a half times the size of Sydney Harbour) and Lake Somerset only a short drive from the Esk Caravan Park, providing for all manner of water related activities.
Esk Caravan Park is located away from the Highway in a quiet and peaceful parkland setting with stunning mountain views, a creek boundary, abundant animal and bird life, while still being conveniently situated within easy walking distance to restaurants and shops.
Esk Caravan Park boasts a variety of accommodation options; powered, unpowered and ensuite camping, caravan, RV and big rig sites. Self contained, pet friendly, and budget park cabins with and without ensuites and Motel rooms. There are two camp kitchens, pizza ovens, BBQs, heated pool, communal Television and live entertainment most weekends.
Esk Caravan Park also offers convenient accommodation for cycling enthusiasts who visit our region and may wish to cycle the longest rail trail in Australia, the Famous Brisbane Valley Rail Trail, which passes around the back of the caravan park.
